FONTSCALDES
Where are we?
Restaurant Masia Cervelló is a restaurant located in Fontscaldes (Tarragona), a town situated north of Valls (Alt Camp), and at the foot of Coll de Lilla. The local church is dedicated to Saint Simon. In 1188 Alfonso I started building the Monastery of Santa Maria de Santes Creus, a Cistercian monastery declared national monument. Near the restaurnat, in an archaeological excavation led by the Institute of Catalan Studies, an Iberian ceramic oven of the s. III-II was found together with one of the best batches of Iberian ceramic painted in Catalonia (currently in the Archaeological Museum of Barcelona), with the characteristic decoration of Southern Catalonia (especially stylized vegetable motifs).
FEEL LIKE HOME
Philosophy
The Masía Cervelló Restaurant opened its doors in 1997, and since 2005 is run by Jordi Cervelló. The restaurant keeps alive many details of what represents a typical traditional Catalan farmhouse.
The philosophy of the restaurant is based on transmitting the essence of Catalan cuisine combining the best seasonal and proximity products with the warmth, close treatment and, above all, the unique gastronomy of our region, the Alt Camp. Our mission is to make you feel at home, and offer you a very special experience.
